View from the window: Re-emergence

Back from the void I return, filled with tales of epic adventure and daring rescues known only by those involved. Clawing, as I did, from the immense tug of a large swirling mass of anti-matter-swallowing nothing, I thought I’d write a post on this, if I got back.

I thought I’d write a post on this if I could remember it.

I thought I’d write a post on this nothing. But that was all I could remember. The nothing. The darkness. And the clawing.

The clawing was my calling.

Well, the writing was my calling.

Well, the writing was / is my intended destination, if I get there. The clawing is part of my journey. As is my calling.

Talk about waffle!!!

I’m back from a few days away from the Blogosphere. I’m neither tanned nor thinned, but I’m back – and once again I find myself catching up. I’ll be along to the blogs I visit in due course – I may start reading from the latest posts and if I have time fill in the blanks as time goes by… it’s the easiest way.

It’s snowing outside the Mansion at the moment. Well, it’s doing something bizarre, actually. The snow is settling, and thawing at the same time. Nonsense weather is what it is. Mind you, last year I had icicles hanging off my car although the temperature of the day was quite warm, so I shouldn’t be surprised about the weather.

And with all the fear-mongering news reports I should be doubly-not-surprised.

It still caught me by surprise though!

Sorry for this stream of consciousness nonsense post today, but I had to post something to show that I am still here, and I didn’t have any other post prepared.

And I will be back soon, with hopefully less waffle and more of a decent post.

Until then, have a good weekend, and let’s hope for a speedy onset of Spring!

I am glad you took some time to recharge your super hero batteries, Tom. I saw snow like you describe on Tuesday night.

Andra, the snow last night was mesmerising! Very thick, large snowflakes… I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said about the size of tennis balls! It settled very quickly as well, and caused pandemonium as usual!
And yes, I’m fully recharged now… I think!

Nothing wrong with waffles. Especially with maple syrup. 🙂 Welcome back!

I don’t think I’ve had waffles and maple syrup, Diane. I’ve had potato waffles (not with maple syrup I hastily add!) and like them. I must try them some day!

What? Back but not tanned or thinned?
Detoxed, perhaps? Or de-stressed? . . . ever so much better than distressed.
Or maybe de-iced? Thawed, if you prefer.

In any event, glad your back. Even if you’re waffling a bit. 😉

None of the above, Nancy. Definitely not distressed!!!
I’m glad you’re glad. And yes, I do like to waffle on occasions. It’s been said…

    Hi Tom! 🙂

Yeah it snowed most of the night here, so we have a good four inches and more of the white stuff and now they are talking rain again, so it looks like the streets will be a death trap for the next few days! 😦

Stay home, stay warm and stay happy! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

Hi Prenin, yes, it was similar here. Did you get the giant snowflakes? They were magical… but caused chaos!

Stay warm and happy yourself, Prenin!

        Hi Tom! 🙂

We got fine stuff at first – very innocuous – then lots of flakes which came down hard for about half an hour, then the small stuff again until 1am.

It stopped for about half an hour, made one more heavy flurry, then stopped altogether.

As I write it is now bucketing down and the footpaths are thick with ice and slush, so I’m staying home!!! 🙂

        God Bless!

        Prenin.

It’s been an odd weekend, Prenin. All of the snow has now gone! And, to make it even more weird, the temperatures seem to have soared,
And yes, the rains have returned here too!!!

I’m not so worried about the warmer temperatures, what bothers me is I ran into a little guy with a long beard who was complaining about the price of gopher wood… 😉

            God Bless!

            Prenin.

Eek… if the prices have gone up, Prenin, it can’t be a good sign! 😯

Welcome back, Tom. It snowed in NYC on Friday night, too. Not very Currier & Ives-like but more of a light, sloppy dump. More flakes are in the forecast for Monday. Oh well, ’tis the season.
