Thursday the thirteenth and the New Moon

Today is Thursday the thirteenth. Not as superstitious a date as Friday the thirteenth, but quite close. The only other one with similar connections is Saturday the thirteenth, the next of which will be here in April 2013. The next Thursday the thirteenth, incidentally, will be next June. Today we also have a New Moon, to add to the magical fun!

Apart from all of that, things have been good today.

I had a dream last night, or I should say this morning just before I woke up. I was doing ‘dream stuff’ (a general term for the parts of a dream that can not be remembered!) when I noticed that the sole of my shoe had come clean off.

Luckily, I had some shoe glue on me, as you do, and started to stick the sole back onto the shoe. As I was doing it, I was singing the song ‘Hans Christian Andersen’. As you do.

I’d finished repairing the shoe, and the song, at the precise time that my alarm clock woke me up. I got out of bed, thinking that the sole of the shoe had probably been on my mind because of the explorer I added to my post yesterday. The sole on his left foot didn’t look quite right. I love playing with words! He he he!

Anyway, that aside, I decided to have a quick look at the news on the BBC website. I do occasionally, just to catch headlines, and any news story that interests me, but I can’t be bothered with all of the other doom and gloom that is usually on there. I’d love a good news only website… maybe one day.

One article caught my eye. It was about… Hans Christian Andersen (Link to the BBC article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20706230). Apparently another of his tales has recently been discovered lying in the bottom of a box in Denmark. Randomly, and out of the blue. The discovery is good, but not as good as the coincidence I had of dreaming of him minutes before reading about him. It’s been a fair few years since I last heard his name mentioned!

I experience lots of coincidences. Some are straightforward ones, such as reading a word at the exact same time someone says it out loud… thinking of a song and it is next to be played on the radio… thinking about someone, and hearing off them in a day or so. These types of coincidence don’t take me by surprise now. I love that they happen, but I’m used to them.

The other type of coincidence, like the H.C.Andersen one, still take me by surprise. Nicely, of course!

There’s more to the mind than we first think… and there’s also more to the Universe than we take for granted.

I don’t know what the dream and the connection means right now, but hopefully I’ll find out soon…

    Hi Tom! 🙂

Yes, I get the deja vue thing myself quite often.

Usually it’s part of a dream I’d had and I’d think ‘Tres weird non?’

So far the one about winning the lottery hasn’t happened yet, but I live in hope! 😉

Have a great Friday my friend! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

Ah yes… that Lottery one is a bit elusive, Prenin. But it’s there… oh, how it’s there! 😀
