Early as usual!
The month of Halloween is here once again! The time of year where my ghoulish imagination really likes to get going. Well, it did in the past, so hopefully it can again.
I’ve decorated my blog, hauled the cauldron up from the Cellar, and will buy some orange food dye tomorrow. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll be doing with the food dye yet, but hopefully that’ll inspire me too!
I’ve still got that extra building to explore out back, the one that the Mansion revealed last week… I may wait a few more weeks before I take my first steps into the dark shadowy halls that await. I’ll take a candle along with me, which will be sure to blow out as soon as I hear a sinister creak as I walk across those old, subterranean floorboards.
In fact, I’ll leave it until a dark, stormy night where the wind is howling through the trees, before I go and explore; making sure that it’s late evening also. There’s no point exploring in the daytime, is there?
As a back up, I’ll take my torch with me, but make sure I leave it switched on for most of the day I decide to go, so the light isn’t as bright, and it may just cut out, just for further dramatic effect. I’ll also make sure that I leave my mobile phone in the Mansion, but then again, I may need to take some photographs, so I’ll have to think about that.
I do need to lower myself into the new part of the Mansion, through the rooftop window, and whilst I was in the Cellar (hauling the cauldron) I noticed a manky old rope ladder in one of the corners… I’ll get that to lower myself through the roof, making sure the rope ladder doesn’t snap, otherwise I may end up trapped. We don’t want that on a cold murky night, do we?
And then, I’ll be able to explore. On my own, of course.

I wonder if there’ll be big spiders?
I’ll wear a coat, just in case. I don’t mind spiders, but I just don’t fancy them crawling inside my clothing.
Oh yes.
I think I’m going to have some fun this October.
Well, I hope so anyway!
