More from the Spirit of the Tree

A lot of trees have been cut down in order for progress recently. Flood defences or something. The trees in the above photo are some of those that have been removed.

I wrote a post a while back about being able to see faces within the spaces between the leaves of the trees, and there are two very clear examples of this in this photo. I hope you can see what I see, what I call the Spirit of the Tree.

Firstly, can you see a brighter yellow patch close to the centre of the photo? Can you see the face looking outwards from over the iron railings? Can you make out the outline of the figure leaning over the railings? Take some time if you can’t, but you may get to see a diamond shape at the bottom half of the centre right of the image. Look to the top of this diamond shape, at the yellow leaves… and hopefully you will see what I see.

Secondly, there’s a dog in this image as well. Quite a large one, bigger than the leaning figure. From the face of the figure, or the yellow leaves, cast your eyes slowly to the left… not too far… and see the dog looking out as well… sad eyes, face to one side.

The above ‘photo’ was taken using Google’s Streetview system… I wanted to keep hold of how the area looked before the trees were removed, before Google come along again and re-take their photos. The area looks terrible now, devoid of trees, but hopefully it will be restored to how it was once the works have been finished.

It was as I was ‘taking’ these snapshots, I noticed the yellow face. I’ve only noticed the dog whilst writing this post. And, once again, the more I look at it, the more faces start to appear.

So… can you see the Spirit of the Tree?

I can see a woman pulling her hair away from her face with her left hand. Very cool photo. Even more so that you managed to snitch it before it could be replaced on a server.

Hi Red! Yes… I think I can see that woman, Red… is she just above the yellow face? Slightly over to the right?
The thing is, the more I look at it, the more the images change. There’s a lot going on for a ‘chance’ find, isn’t there?

Yes, I can see her now as well… it took a short while as her arm appears in the same place as the dog’s ear, but she’s there!

And the lion’s mane. This is a great exercise in perspective!

I’m actually losing myself in the picture now… and more faces are appearing as I look.

The dog’s face is quite large, all things considered, Prenin. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it – it made me wonder how I didn’t see it at first!

I see that sad, sad dog 😦

The face I see is in the yellow patch, and extremely grumpy, leaning on the fence.

It is sad-looking, isn’t it, Tilly.
Mind you, if that was its home, it isn’t there anymore! Which would also be a good reason for the yellow man to be a little grumpy!
I’m seeing other faces there now… it’s full of them!

There is a Lion as well T…..From the sad dog go up and to the left a bit. There are two black triangle eyes and an open black mouth as if the lion were roaring. The green leaves above create the mane….See T….Your lion totem is with you again….VK

VK – you’re right! I can see it! Just towards the top left corner!
There’s another lion I spotted, slightly above the yellow man and to the right… only this lion keeps changing appearance between the lion and a woman!

I always see images, faces, or the life of the trees. I see movement and their spirits clearly exhibited. Thanks for this post 🙂

You’re welcome, Sage – and hello, by the way!
Yes, I always see the faces within the leaves, but apparently they can also be seen in the bark… I’ll keep my eyes open for those faces!

Yes Tom, I see both clearly, and yes so sad so many trees and shrubs and hedgerows are being destroyed in the name of progress. Not only the trees themselves die, but those birds and insects too which rely upon them also… Lots of new houses are being built around and about us, and several years ago we had a big beautiful tree hundreds of years old… http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/360/views/debdale_lane_tree_protesters.shtml
felled but not until protesters were removed after a long vigil at the proposes site…. Swampy became well known in the area … And you know even today where that tree stood, it would have posed no threat to the road junction which has now been laid… so sad when you think it stood there for 300 yrs…

Thank you for highlighting the plight of trees, and for this post of the spirit of the tree

Thanks, Sue. I had to post it when I saw the image of the yellow spirit leaning on the fence.
The trees have gone now, but I think the spirits wanted a message passing on!
I think I remember that protest – did it make the national news?

Yes Tom it did, those poor protesters were out in their tree house in all weathers.. and got lots of local support… But then the powers that be got a court order and so on so forth…. When profit comes first Nature’s rights always comes second…
