Dragon’s Rest

What a strange place for a dragon to rest.
Too small for its home, too remote for its nest.
A small mound of sand that is far out to sea,
Why here, why now, oh, what can it be?

The dragon’s wings crack as he flies overhead,
As he circles this mound from the sea bed.
The sand is quite fresh, so who put it there?
It wasn’t the dragon – this isn’t his lair.

Yet the dragon does settle upon this damp sand,
Seemingly ‘placed’ by some unknown hand,
But, within minutes, the dragon’s up and away,
To the next mound of sand that is ten miles away.

For the dragon to journey from point A to B
He needs some ‘stepping stones’, you see.
He’s aware of his journey , where he wants to go,
But he takes one step at a time, and things nice and slow.

A repost this time, but with a new image. It still fits in with my current ‘no rush’ theme that I currently have going on, for some reason.

The island is a little too big, but it still fits.

The picture is other worldly and perfect! The gold cast is what does it and of course what appears to be a flying dragon. 🙂

The dragon is a dragon, but a very small one… perhaps it could have been a little larger, I suppose!

TQTQTQ..thank you for the reminder that it really is okay to take our time, there is no rush because there is no “time” in the Universe…and that Divine timing does not follow our schedule…and it really is okay to take a breath and a chill pill 🙂

Thanks, Andro. It’s an old one, but I wanted to modernise it a little with a different picture.
Hope you have a good week as well (just had to check the date of your comment, and it is still this week, which is good! 😀 )

Well I’ll be….Here i thought you were still on vaca and not writing and I find out your site as well as many others now I no longer receive email post alerts from 😦 I am really disgusted with WP right now. This problem has been going on for over a month now and the number of blogs I no longer receive from is growing. I don’t have time to go into reader as they suggest and follow that way for now. I have so many blogs I follow it would take me forever and I don’t have forever…Well, yes I do, life never ends but….I am getting frustrated! I will try to get here TL but until this ridiculous problem is resolved I make no promises. Sorry to have missed out on so much. Hope all is well there my friend. My disappearance is not intentional!!! VK

      Hi VK! 🙂

Just to let you know that you are not alone with your problems as Aussia Emu has also been struggling! 😦

I had problems because of what happened over the WordPress Blog with inappropriate material on it.

I don’t know if you knew, but the Internet Watch Foundation added that particular blog to its block list and created chaos!!!

Things have now been sorted out for the majority, but people like you and Emu have similar problems.

He had to go into his admin page and turn on his notifications manually.

      Sorry I can’t be more specific – I’ve slept since then! 🙂

      Love and hugs!

      Prenin.

        Thanks, Prenin.
There are still rumblings going on, it would appear.
When I access some WordPress sites from my mobile phone the page freezes so I have to close it down. Whether this problem is linked to the alerts, or our earlier problem, I don’t know.

          Sounds like a software glitch.

I use my PC and the problems have stopped for now, but seven weeks of frustration has led to me just being glad I can post!!! 😦

Hope you get your mobile phone fixed – you may have to update your browser, but I have no idea how you do that!!! 🙂

          God Bless my friend!

Firstly, not a problem VK. All I can ask is that you call by when you can, and I’m perfectly happy with that!
Secondly, sorry to hear that you are now having problems… as Prenin has mentioned we’ve had a corker of a problem this year that lasted well over a month. Hopefully your problems will be resolved soon. I think they are making minor tweaks here that have a major effect there… and we’re caught in the middle, slightly (!) frustrated…
And thirdly, I’m kind of in a strange place blogging-wise at the moment. I either post and don’t comment, comment or don’t post, don’t reply to comments for a few days, or don’t visit other blogs fo a few days. I can’t quite get myself into the rhythm, but hopefully I’ll be back properly soon.
Hopefully, this reply finds you well… and I have popped by your site, although I didn’t comment. I’ll be back!

I’m trying to get myself back into a decent blogging rhythm. I think I’m there… and then I’m not again.

Hope you have a good Monday evening Sue.

Lovely picture and word, Tom. Have you read How To Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell? It’s a young people’s book but I’m addicted. Your writing suggests you would absolutely love it.

I think someone has mentioned this book to me before, Kate. Or am I thinking of the film? The dragon in the film (if it’s the one I’m thinking of!) has an uncanny resemblance to my brother’s cat… I’ll look out for the book.
