Do you ever…

Do you ever feel that your life is not your own?
Do you ever feel that you knew what you were shown?
Do you ever feel familiarity in a place you’ve never been?
Do you ever recognise a face you’ve never seen?
Do you ever notice a scent from long ago?
Do you ever sing a song that you just don’t know?
Do you ever know what is going to happen next?
Do you ever struggle to send a simple text?
Do you ever find yourself without a single thought?
Do you ever remember lessons never taught?
Do you ever find yourself sitting in a daze?
Do you ever wish to change someone else’s ways?
Do you ever sit and think of what could have been?
Do you ever regret a time when you were very mean?
Do you ever sit and be, take time to look around?
Do you ever notice all the greatness that’s around?
Do you ever stop and think “I’m a part of all of this”?
And do you ever ponder the complexities of all that is?

Do you ever find yourself thinking about the strangest things at the strangest times? I do. I woke up early this morning after dreaming about trying to write a computer code to generate happiness. Can you generate happiness – in someone else, I mean? Happiness comes from within – the best feel good feelings all start within, regardless of what is going on in the outside world.

I’m starting to see images of ships again in my mind’s eye. Whatever link I have back to the early Seventeenth Century seems to be calling to me once more. I wonder where things will take me this time? As always, with everything, only time will tell…

I can really relate to this post Tom! 🙂

I have so much weird crap happen to me over the years I am not surprised you too can feel the changes in the wind and I get deja vue on a regular basis – though not as much these days…

Good poem my friend and lots of luck with the 17th century – NOT the best of times to live…

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

Ah déjà vu – I’d forgotten about that one, Prenin, most odd considering that was what I was actually writing about! 😀
The Seventeenth Century seems harsh on some accounts, yet I don’t seem drawn to anything that feels bad… it’s very strange, I can tell you!
And thank you for commenting once again, Prenin. 🙂

It fascinates me too, Kate. That ring you sent me seems to have triggered something once again, and I’m seeing clues and signs here and there telling me to look. I hope I find some answers as well!
      Hope you’re having a great weekend! 🙂

I have definitely found the familiar in faces I’ve never seen before and wondered why. I’ve also visited places for the first time and have been convinced I’ve been there.

    Haunting post, Tom.

Isn’t it odd just how often it happens, Andra. When you think about it, it is more regular than it seems it should be… 😉

I’ve had too many strange things happen to me, like knowing something is going to happen, or meeting someone I feel I already know, though I’ve never met them before. Glad I am not the only one 🙂

I’ve experienced déjà vu many times. I know I have never been here but…I smell something and I KNOW I’ve been here before…I’m having a conversation and I know I’ve had it before . . . Does this have anything to do with reincarnation even if the memories are not of another century but in this lifetime?

I don’t know, Tess. It could have something to do with it, but sometimes I experience déjà vu in a place that is obviously brand new.
I heard somewhere that déjà vu is our minds taking a split second longer to process what is going on, so we’ve already experienced what we think we’re experiencing now.
I prefer the reincarnation and parallel worlds theory myself! 😀
