I’m going out on a limb with this post today. I think I’m right, but there is always the possibility that I’m wrong.
I have a message in my spam thingy that appears to be from a respectable blogger. I don’t want to name any names in case the message is spam and I cause unnecessary embarrassment to the blogger in question. I also don’t want to name names just in case the message isn’t spam, and they really wanted me to know the reasons why they stopped wearing pantyhose. (I’m not interested, by the way, in case any other bloggers want to tell me their reasons for the same thing!). And, obviously, the message will remain in my moderation thingy for the reasons above. And possibly be used in a later post.
Why do I think it’s spam? I hear you ask. Well, I shall tell you whether you have asked the question aloud or not… the message was in response to one of my very old posts regarding the television series ‘Big Brother’. No mention of any kind of clothing appeared in this post, which was simply one of my review posts I used to write when I had nothing else to say. Usually, spam messages bear no relevance to the post.
The odd thing about this comment (apart from the comment itself), is that it is in response to an old post where the reply thingy was turned off – I have my posts set to switch off the comments function after a certain amount of time. Haven’t the foggiest how long this time period is, but I know it is switched off. Go to a very old post, and the words Comments are Closed appear after any previously left comments. So, some sophisticated blogger has managed to leave a reply to a post where replies are not allowed.
I have no idea how they have done this. I also have no idea why they have done this, but done it they did! It appears spam comes in lots of different ways nowadays.
By the way, just in case it is only a technical glitch, and you have received a comment – on an old post of yours where the commenting has been switched off – from me telling you why I decided to stop wearing pantyhose, I didn’t leave the message.
