Hypnotic eyes peer through the window as the first signs of twilight make their mark upon the world. Shadows stretch hither, thither and every wither, reaching, grasping, trying to consume whatever they can capture in their slow advance. Trees, buildings, walls… nothing can hold back the incoming darkness.
Unblinking eyes remain unaware as they stare blankly forward. Waiting, watching, and possibly thinking, but without a care in the world, that the day is disappearing around them.
This familiar is intent on one thing, and one thing only: to be inside, by the fireside. Or perhaps, having a nice little nap on a lap.
Unwavering eyes look forward, silently asking, pleading, or maybe spell-casting for their owner’s will to be done.
The urge not to refuse is strong.
The eyes hold more power than first thought.
The question is now not can I refuse, but what will happen if I do?
