I was too late to post for Sideview’s Weekend Theme last week, which was ‘Late’, so I’ve made sure that I would be ready to post for this week’s theme, which is ‘Structure’… but rather than using words for the post, I messed around with a few splashes of colour.
Each frame adds a little more structure to the overall image, yet still it remains unfinished; just like days of our lives. Each day builds us, makes us stronger, makes us different, and structures our future. Only we can choose how our finished image will look. Only we can make it. We might as well make it good then, don’t you agree?

Ooh Yeah! 🙂
We are all a work in progress – but the day we are finally finished will we be able to look back and say: Good Job? 🙂
God Bless my friend!!! 🙂

I’d like to think so, Prenin.
We do our best to get there, so why not? 🙂

Try? Yes, of course…
Nice to see you’re up and running, Tom.
A good plan for your challenge. I like this idea of a work in progress. Yes, I suppose that’s exactly what we are.

Ah, thanks for reminding me, Tess. I can remove the extra wording now that things seem to be working on all cylinders again!
We’re never finished, Tess… and we can always improve!

I like to look at things from different angles, Sideview… this one came to me when I painted the face green and decided that I didn’t want to use that for the basis of the picture!
It’s funny how inspiration strikes at times!

I like the drawings you made for this one, Tom.
We’re all works in progress. Sometime we go forward, sometime back. But we’re all were we’re suppose to be till we get to the finish.

Really clever take on theme, Tom, and I love the way you have built up the layers! We are complex composites, aren’t we?

Thanks, Kate, and I agree! There’s more to us than meets the eye!

Interesting take on the theme, Tom. We are like onions, aren’t we . . . building up our character and structure layer by layer.

Thanks, Nancy. Yes, we all have many layers.

This is amazing. I wish I had that kind of talent to paint. I can’t, so I admire the painting of others. Thanks! 🙂

ump-teen ways to build on structure, adding suggests a journey of discovery. Who knew structure could be chalked full of possibilities. Enjoyed the image, a creative take, merci.

That was one wonderful and awesome blog post! And I totally agree..yes, yes and yes!
Each day we build who we are, each choice forms the material for the world we create, within and without. And just as that painting can be formed into something else with different colours and techniques, so too can we forge a path that will bring us closer to our true self…even if we have made some mistakes before. Mistakes are just a way to let us know what works and what doesn’t 😀

I totally agree Tom, we each have the power to put the finishing touches to our image and lives… and what we put within our layers gives us depth and allows others to see our various qualities… Loved your post and image….
I hope your own life is woven ever stronger as you add your pieces one by one to the picture… xox
