Thirteen of the Clock

Once a year, on Halloween, an extra hour is needed. Not by everyone, but by a specific few.

This extra hour slots in between midnight and 1am on November 1st, and is referred to as thirteen o’clock. The true witching hour.

This is the hour where the spirits soar… creatures of the night roam with a little more freedom than usual… imps and goblins play tricks on many unsuspecting folk, who sleep soundly in their beds.

If, by chance, you happen to be awake around this time, listen carefully… for you may hear those distant ghostly bells toll thirteen times…

I think I’m in that Twilight Zone now, Jen, but with me it must be the cold and flu remedy I’m on! 🙂
I’m having a technical hitch with pictures at the moment which isn’t helping things!

That would have been weird, Prenin… was it rang thirteen times on purpose, or did it do it… itself?

If I remember correctly it was because of the weather, though I couldn’t tell you if it was too hot or too cold!!! 🙂

That’s the first sign of old age – your memory starts to go! 🙂

        God Bless!

        Prenin.

Ah, now that makes sense, Prenin!
But, what was the question again? 😉 I’m blaming this cold I’ve developed and not old age, by the way…!

That’s only because you haven’t heard the bells yet, Tilly. You’ll believe when you hear them…! 😉

I love seeing those times, Sue… I usually wake up at 2.22 or 3.33!
13 o’clock is an odd one though… one to be seen to be believed!

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we awoke during this time, we are able to have the option of entering a portal into a world of magic??
