What an Awesome Universe!

I read a comment once from someone who classed the universe as her closest friend. She said that the universe is always with her, and brings her exactly what she wants without question or judgment. The universe always listens, and always likes to surprise in the most unlikely of places. The person who said this used the pen name of ‘Lucky’.

Since I chose to be lucky the other day, I have realised that the universe is my closest friend too. Not only mine, but everyones! Of course, I knew this through all of the coincidences I’ve experienced, and Cosmic Orders I’ve had delivered, and the stunning special effects that I see around me every day, but I knew it more in a taking for granted way rather than in an acknowledged way (if that makes sense).

Yesterday, the universe gave me several nice reminders of how great a friend it is.

I have a small collection of comics from the sixties onwards. The first comic books I had bought for me were from the late seventies, and the others dated earlier and later (obviously) were acquired over time. I’ve written about these before, and I had about seven bought for me on that first day. For a while now, I have found myself thinking of one of these seven. I’ve even looked it up on-line to see if I can buy another copy, but wherever I’ve looked this particular issue was not available. My parents have had to clear their loft, and there were several sealed boxes, some of which contained old school reports and… comics. Only five comics. And, you’ve guessed it, one of these five was the issue I was thinking about. You may say it is just a coincidence. And it is – but what a coincidence! Out of all of the comics I had when I lived with my parents (hundreds!) these five were somehow separated from the rest. Years later they turn up again and one of them happens to be the one I have been trying to obtain.

In the grand scheme of things, a comic may not seem to be very important. In the grand scheme of things to me, at that moment, and onwards, it is a biggie! I always love how the universe likes to surprise me!

While all this was going on, I was watching a movie on TV called The Christmas Angel. It jumped out at me as I was looking through the on screen listing. What an amazing movie! The story is about a woman who keeps herself to herself and ends up becoming a ‘Secret Santa’. I was feeling good watching this movie, which was then multiplied by the discovery of those boxes.

My Mum had made an awesome meal, the ingredients of which are from the universe. And so’s my Mum for that matter! So my feel good feelings were multiplied yet again!

Last night, when I was back at home, I turned my TV on and watched a performance of ‘Kids in America’ on a talent show. I thought the performance was outstanding! Really good! And more feel good feelings emerged!

I hadn’t ‘asked’ the universe for any of these things, but the universe made sure that I received them. To some people they probably seem like random, everyday events. To me, I know they were a gift from the universe. For that, and for everything really, I am so grateful that I am a part of this universe!

This choosing to be lucky is awesome! And that is because the universe is awesome!
