Jordan Grainger looked over to the passenger seat in the Sambabus, realising it was empty; he looked through the driver side mirror and saw the Pincham Mob getting into another vehicle behind which had Ellova Palava at the wheel.

The second car sped passed at swift speeds, and Jordan realised Ellova was escaping with the Pinchams and the money from the bank vault – seconds before a police car with lights flashing and sirens wailing hurtled around the corner at the top of the High Street.

Not wanting to be caught himself, Jordan started the Sambabus and tried to drive away, only for the vehicle to seem to bounce along slowly and quite jarringly; he stopped again, got out expecting to see a flat tyre and saw the unbelievable sight of square wheels – all four wheels were square.

Jordan looked back up the road and could see the police quickly, yet slowly, still approaching, but still some way in the distance. He started the Sambabus again, and managed to get the car as far as the next turning without being stopped by the police, where he turned left; the road disappeared in front and he found himself plunging into deep, dark and freezing cold water.

He grabbed his mobile phone, and called the Elixir Spa Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex, to be answered by Bubblegum who merely said “I’ll be right as rain tomorrow”; Jordan woke suddenly in his bed, drenched in sweat and with a really strange feeling – the memory of the nightmare gone, but the feelings from it remained very strong.

It’s Sunday once again, which means another word has been revealed for Denise’s Six Sentence Stories challenge. Which means I have another part to post in my ongoing story featuring The Co-ordination of Supervillains.

The prompt word this week is ‘vault’, and I’ve dipped into my vault of available images to create an imaginary (and very rough, basically (the Dropped Apostrophe would be proud!)) opening sequence, should this series ever be made into a TV series. The video should be at the top of this post (if I haven’t caused YouTube to blow up in the video’s creation – although if I had done that, I’d place the blame firmly at the hands of this group of supervillains. The music in the video has also been created by yours truly also (not that I’m the slightest bit musical), so all in all I’ve been a tad creative today.

Speaking of being creative, the image below links to Denise’s site, where you can find more details on how Six Sentence Stories works.

And, if you need to read (or re-read – remember, soon to be a TV series!) previous parts of this story, look in my Storylines menu.

  1. Very impressed with the opening sequence Tom!👏 And you composed the music 🎶 too? Wow! Europa’s Icewolves were howling along🐺🎵Did you hear them across the realms of the galaxy?😉
I’ve had many nightmares across the aeons…don’t think I’ve ever had the presence of mind to make a mobile phone call though😅
Yes… square wheels…! Hmm…🤔😏Definitely not the best choice for an escape vehicle eh young Tom?😬😂

    1. Thanks, Icewolf.
I thought I heard the wolves singing along… Now that I can compose music (⬅️🤣😇😊) I shall be creating a much more gentle theme for my second season one variant, and try out a few advanced video tricks to – stay tuned! 😁
Square wheels aren’t really the most ideal option, but they fit nicely in the nightmare world.

        1. I was working on that new music earlier, Icewolf, when plans took a sharp detour into the darkness!
          (I’m so dramatic, aren’t I?) 🤣
Square wheels are fun when you can get them.

    An eruption of creativity 🌋
Wait till the rest of the gang sees this!

    1. Thanks, Nick.
Things ran together for this post!
The opening sequence is just a taster, though… I want to compose a better piece of music to use over a better sequence of pictures, so my second variant will be along as soon as it’s ready! Time permitting!
I’m pleased the square wheel imagery made you chuckle… the dream world is a fun place to visit for such ideas! 🙂

    1. no, serially, I need to decompress (and look at my daily task lists for the previous ten months and the alarm clock on my desk with two hands and a clock-face stuck on the front of an electric drill…)
      lol
      not bad, yo
      not bad at all

  3. I liked the Sambabus, going along with your musical theme, I pictured it driving in a fast stop-go motion in rhythm to the Samba. Which is why you may have thought of square wheels. Thanks for the video, apart from the music, it’s nice to be reminded of the characters for us newbies.
