Yes Tom those winter woollies have been needed, Minus 7 registered on the car thermometer my daughter said on her way to work… I was snuggly tucked up until at least the heating kicked in LOL…

In a power cut right now, so the temperature is dropping quickly here, although not to minus seven just yet (but it does feel like it!!!)

Very similar to my room currently, but much, much prettier! Minus 6°C this morning – the icicles hanging off the outside of the windows were impressive, not so much so the frozen solid chunks of condensation, now ice, gracing the inside of my window🥶🫣🥴 having collected from the run off overnight. 🫨 I’m hoping the water 💧 slinking down the 2nd outside and now very cold and damp wall 🧱 will also turn to ice 🧊 Although jumping up and down on the bed trying to dry the wet bits is a cheap way of keeping warm without radiators on!! If it would all just freeze up now I’ve left all the windows open 🥶 then my room may become the wintry icy wonderland you depict here! 😀

Nothing beats a good old-fashioned power cut in the bleak mid-winter Tom. I’m sure you are/were embracing the situation with welcoming arms😅 No water and no boiler when I got back to my place – the upstairs room radiator was leaking and the water dripping through into the room below! The resident had dutifully collected up all the offending liquid in a pan…however the room zombies 🧟♂️ that live behind the curtains 😳 had other ideas…kick pan…offending liquid all over floor….wooden floor no less so it spread itself everywhere….job done! Room zombies return to the dark side of the curtains😈🙃 All fixed up now, hope all is good to go at your end too😃
