Running barefoot through Eerie Wood
On the night when the Moon is Full
Reality twists and, like the branches, tangles
Blending darkness, shade and remaining light
Making reality surreal
Running barefoot up Eerie Hill
Alongside the brook that babbles downwards
Footsteps and trickles echo
And echo is carried on the cooling breeze
Through and into the night
Running barefoot across Eerie Top
Moonlight obscuring some stars
Wispy clouds covering others
Light raindrops carry tiny worlds within
And reflections shatter on landing
Running barefoot along Eerie Ledge
Through wet grass and squelching mud
Stepping firm yet sliding still
Invigorated yet anxious
The end is nigh and obscured
Standing barefoot atop Eerie Point
Looking out and over the rest of the world
Darkened yet bathed in the Lunar glow
One experiences flight without leaving the ground
And is suddenly released
Or swallowed whole by the Lucid Dream.
