So Many Thoughts, So Little Outlets

One, two, buckle my shoe,
Three, four, open the – Oh! Hello, I didn’t see you there.

Don’t be alarmed!

No. No.

Take it easy. Sit down. Stay for a while.

You may be wondering where Tom is… well, he’s still here. Somewhere.

We’ve given him the night off… From this posting malarkey anyhow.

Some of you may remember us. Me. I know you do. Yes – you! I am writing to you… that’s it – I saw that quick smile.

I’m Fingers. Told you you’d remember me – my typing’s come on in leaps and bounds since last we met. Inner Zombie is here, and so are Thomasina and the Inner Scientist.

Zombie and Scientist really should get their own names… Thomasina did so after being called the Inner Woman for so long drove her to despair. She needed her own personality. Her own definition. She needed to become a character in her own right.

Obviously, we all have our own personalities, otherwise we wouldn’t be aspects, would we?

We’re not really real, you know. We’re just thoughts. But we help with the ideas. We give gentle pushes to Tom when he (which is usually the case but don’t tell him) is wandering through life in a daze.

Scientist has ideas bursting forth, but can’t take control long enough to do anything about them.

Zombie has ideas too… but we all agree those ideas should really not have the option to burst forth. Zombie grunts a lot, and we take that to be in agreement.

And Thomasina, well, she’s having kittens at the moment. She’s been manipulating Tom, from ‘behind the scenes’ as it were, making him grow his hair long. She has a thing for long hair, and wanted the chance to be able to tie some real hair up or back for once, rather than fussing with the imaginary hair that she styles day in and day out. But Tom has announced his plans for a haircut. Thomasina’s beside herself. One Thomasina is bad enough, but two. Sigh.

With there being so many of us aspects – there are more who Tom has either neglected to mention, or banished to the furthest reaches of the Universe never to be seen again (sometimes he has good ideas – I usually take the credit for those ones!), we can become a little frustrated when our splendiferous ideas just drift back into the grey matter where we exist.

Thomasina screams ‘choose number twelve’ when Tom is picking a new set of Lottery numbers. Tom doesn’t listen and picks 42 instead. Twelve is drawn, and Tom wonders why he didn’t pick that.

Scientist blames modern living. Too much to think about stops us normal thoughts from being picked up clearly. Or someone on the other side of the world tunes in and runs with our ideas. Liberty!

I’m guiding Tom with this book he’s writing, but he does insist on utilising the other Fingers. The old one. The one woh tpyse lkei thsi. That one – no good to anyone – but Tom will not listen… and instead blames me!

Zombie’s stirring now. We don’t have much chance to get our thoughts out into the real world, and Tom usually forgets about them when we get them to him.

At least I’ve managed to get only a small few here, through this blogging medium. A marvellous idea, if I say so myself, and I should – I gave Tom the shove to do it.

Talking of shoves, we’ve got to go now. The real Tom’s managed to get Zombie off of him, and he’s taking control again.

So many thoughts, and so little time to share them. Ah well… such is the way of the world.

We’ll try and get back soon!

Five, six, pick up sticks,
Seven, eight, lay them #

Hmmm. Not bad at all, this automatic writing. I may try it again sometime. Sideview has provided her Weekend Theme challenge once again, and this post seems to tie in with it rather nicely. Remarkable actually, when you think that the theme is So Many *** So Little ***. Coincidence! Pop along to her site if you want to play along. It is fun!

Fingers does have some good points! 🙂

My other self is happy to type for me – all I have to do is think of the word and it pops up on the screen like magic!!! 🙂

Hard to believe I NEVER set out to touch-type, but there you are! 🙂

God bless Tom and your myriad inner selves!!! 🙂

    Prenin.

Fingers does like to go on, Prenin, given half the chance!
He (and they!) caught me unawares this evening!
I couldn’t even start touch-typing myself. Well, I could, but every time would be the creation of a brand new language!

Eek… now don’t go putting ideas in this head, Prenin! Those that shall remain nameless will have a field day! 😉

I can relate so well, Fingers, (just had three goes at getting my password to take) surely ‘they’ knew I meant to hit the right keys, but not in that order type(ing) kind of thing? Hit and miss I am. Dyslexic typist too, (yet funnily enuff that was purrfect, dyslexic, dyslexic 😉 ) Just checked my lottery numbers and that’s hit and miss too, can Thomasina scream out a few numbers to me? Pretty please? One can only ask, beg and be on ones knees for so long. before one notices the carpet needs vacuuming.. Sigh!! 😉 xPenx

my ‘like’ disappeared, Fingers and so I hit it again, and it re-appeared, so I hit it again and again One didn’t know one could dis-like? as in remove ones like. I don’t like to think before my second cup of coffee, makes me wonder where the ground is. (as in ground coffee. too early? ) xx

I’ve noticed something very odd going on with the likes, Pen.
Can’t say what exactly, but something’s amiss.
I’ve been up for hours, and I’ve only just found the ground…

It’s terrible when the system will not accept the way you type passwords, Lady P. It’s actually quite irksome. I like that word, irksome.
Thomasina has been really helpful today Pen. She says choose a middlish number. Not helpful at all really, is she? Although I’ve just realised I’ve not got me ticket for tonight!
      Happy vacuuming!

Whoa….This is a lot of beings to keep track of. I know you are up to the task though. Time to sit down and figure out those others names. It may help them to focus…Never a dull moment at the mansion, huh TL??? Or is that Thomasina? Perhaps Boris would work for the scientist. Time for a name those characters competition….VK

And there are lots more as well, VK. I like the idea of the naming competition… I shall ponder that, I think!

Glad you gave Zombie a Push! and those thoughts sometimes Zap us… As for those fingers Tom, I can only suggest with automatic writing! to use a pen instead of a key board.. LOL… But then you have to decipher the long hand… And re-type and punctuate. But if its good enough for J K Rowling!!! You may have a best seller on your hands 🙂

They all start to show their faces when they know they can, Dana! I can see my Inners all lining up now, waiting to reveal themselves. I’m not sure if that’s a frightening thought or not!
