Debbie’s one-word theme for this week is ‘Caring’, and once again I was struggling to find a suitable photograph to fit the theme – although that all changed on Friday, on my walk, when I spotted this pair of water birds caring for their young.

About the images:

Taken on May 7th 2017 by the Lake, using a Galaxy Note mobile phone. The little ones refused to keep still.

  3. Oh, so cute Tom. I haven’t seen many youngsters yet this year. I obviously need to look closer!
In fact, next week’s theme is spectacle – that is probably what I need!

  5. My friend had baby Canada geese on her lawn this week! It is amazing to watch the amount of care birds give to their young.

    1. Hi Jackie. Apologies for the VERY late reply here…
They are so protective, aren’t they? But they are very attentive and wonderful to watch.
