One Minute Ramble: Rusht

The clock’s against me
No, the time,
The clock, the time,
They’re the same
When you’re up against them.

But the clock
Shows the time
But isn’t the time
Just as time isn’t the clock…
Yet to save time
Clocks are digital;
To waste time
Clocks are slow;
To emphasize time
Clocks are magnificent;
And to show time’s up
Clo

    I would prefer if time stayed out of all of it, Tom! But I guess there’s no escaping it. You can always find the time somewhere. Nice poem!

      Thanks, Amy. I agree… sometimes it would be nice just to be outside of time for a while…

    Clocks and time are the strangest of things. .. my mobile battery is fading and like to claim it’s 23:47 specifically even when it’s still mid afternoon 😉 it resets in due course but it makes for a very odd looking clock and thoroughly distorted sense of time!

      All of my clocks show different times, Icewolf – the one in my car is completely out but won’t be reset. What with your mobile and my car – time doesn’t seem to be keen on moving around. Hmmm…

    That’s not a poem you wrote, Tom. That’s my life Monday through Friday morning when I’m “rusht” like a loon before heading out to The Grind.

    Time: that evil thing that robs us of sleep, energy and fun. 😝

    Time… funny how it can speed by and be slower than a snail, depending on the moment we are experiencing…

      Exactly, Dale! And this past week, time has had a habit of running away with itself and leaving me way behind…
