Shadow’s Dance

Watch the shadows bob and weave
As the candles’ flames sigh and breathe
Glowing bright,
Fading low,
Suddenly, the flames, they grow…
The flames: They dip, and drip, and bow, and stretch
Casting shadows in all directions
The shadows move as though connected
Moulding around the light projected
From the candles that are very still…
The flame’s alive.
And mesmerised,
The shadows
Dance
Upon its will.

Nice TL…Love the glow of candles. They change a room completely. I wish we didn’t need electric lights to see, but reading by candle light is just impossible. May your evening be filled with shadows and the soft glow of candlelight that erases all stress and fills your heart…VK 🙂

  Candlelight is so soothing and calming, VK, and annoying too when you try to read! I understand completely. Mind you, I’m having somewhat the same problem in brilliant daylight nowadays…!

Good poem my friend! 🙂

Let’s hope we don’t need candlelight this winter – the margin in the power system is only 5% at the moment, so a blackout is theoretically possible… 🙂

I have a torch on my mobile… my laptop’s very bright on the battery….lol…my kindle fire lights up nice and shiny…they’re all quite mesmerising…but they aren’t scented like some candles…not unless they’re smoking and on fire!! Happy Christmas!

  Torchlight can have the same effect as candlelight if you quickly shake the mobile around when it’s switched on… but it’s not as relaxing as genuine candlelight!
  Smoking and on fire are definitely not relaxing in the slightest.
