Not having a lot of time at present, I had the excellent idea of relocating the Laboratory in the Mansion. Long time readers will be aware that the Bathroom has doubled for my Lab on more than one occasion, but, owing to the amount of scientific tat stuff I now have in there, it was starting to become almost impossible to take a bath.
I say I had the idea, which of course I did, but I was prompted by one of my Inner Beings; none other than my Inner Woman, Thomasina.
“Relocate the Lab.” She said, quite matter of factly.
“There’s loads of space down in the Cellar. Use that space so the Bathroom can become a place of relaxation, meditation and tranquility.”
My Inner Woman must not be ignored and must be obeyed.
Down to the Cellar I went, and found an ideal place. A squarish corner, far away from the steps up to the Mansion and down to the Catacombs below. It was as though I was guided there… even the Medieval Torches were lit. Most odd.
I had to do a quick bout of renovation work, and in about half an hour I’d knocked up a pretty reasonable room, together with working strip lighting. And in the next half hour, I’d moved all of the gumpf from the Bathroom and into the new, purpose-built Lab.

OK, things were a bit rushed, and I brought along a thing or two too many: Rubber Ducky, a cup of tea and a bust and portrait of Queen Nefertiti, to name a few. And things need to be tidied up somewhat before I can start to use the Lab as a lab, but I’ll get there.
I need to build a fourth wall for starters, as the image above shows the Lab is rather quite open at present. But never mind… I can spill out into the rest of the Cellar if needed if I don’t put up the missing wall.
I can’t find my half-invisible bucket though… I’ve no idea where that’s gone… and I need to get a new bathtub for the Lab. Well, it’s where I do all the blending for the potions I make. Them jars and test tubes are OK, but you just can’t get a decent stir with them. And you can’t fit a nice wooden spoon in them anyway.
Upstairs, in the Mansion proper, my live-in Lady Friend, the ever-ghostly Dot, has decorated the Living Room for Christmas. Well, I think Dot’s done it, as I’m the only one who lives here and I certainly haven’t. I’ve been far too busy for that.
My Inner Woman’s pleased with the new Lab, the Bathroom and the Living Room.
And when my Inner Woman’s pleased, I’m pleased.
And there’s nothing like feeling pleased with yourself to Feel Good!
