The Realm of In-between

Betwixt the day and night
Lies the realm of in-between;
Neither dark nor light
Yet both, as it would seem.
Shadows start to vanish
Extending out in length
Yet slowly as they finish
They lose much of their strength.
Betwixt the night and day,
In the time to settle down,
Lies the realm of mystery
As silence falls around.
The sun sets in the east
And darkness starts to fall
As the day begins to cease
And night time starts to call.

Nice TL….Great poetry!!! Wish I were sailing on that body of water, cocktail in hand and the wind blowing about my face. Ahhhhhh…I can feel and smell it now….VK

Thanks, VK. Yes, I like that image too – it ‘spoke’ to me after I’d written the rhyme!

Be-au-t-i-ful, Sir Aquatom, I am gobsmacked into silence. (well, not literally or I’d not be commenting eh?) but that’s wonderfully descriptive, and that photo? Sigh!! xPenx

I too like the photo, Lady P. I found it on a site called Pixabay , where we can freely use any of their images. I like sites like that! The image ‘spoke’ to me after I’d written the rhyme – it just had to be used!

Outstanding writing as the words are great with the pic and fitting for the time of day.

That was certainly some inspired and lovely verse, Tom. What came first: the pictures or the poem?

Thanks, LA. The words came first, and then the image was found on a fab site call Pixabay that allows the images to be used under that Creative Commons thingy. I’d love to have a view like that though!
