This is probably the most surreal, strange and random blog post in the history of Blogland. Or maybe it isn’t.
It is odd, however.
Well, it’s only odd in parts, but even being slightly odd makes it, well, odd. Oddish, anyway.
It’s also odd in the fact that I’ve gotten this far into the post without actually starting the post proper!
But I have now.
“Why all the waffle?” I hear someone shout at the back there. My answer is simple. The post would be far too short without it.
So, onto the main part of the post.
I’ve mentioned in the past that, on occasions, the characters I write about appear to me out of the blue, and convince me that I must write about them. Sometimes in a short story, sometimes something a little longer, and sometimes in rhyme form.
They usually arrive silently, in my mind, and impress the main facts that they want me to write about upon me. And then they go again, and leave me to it.
Today, a new character ‘appeared’ to me.
No clue as to who she was, what she wanted, why she was here, and what she wanted me to do.
She whooshed in, and said, clearly and simply, to me (well, she was in my mind and I was also the only one there at the time!), “Hello, I’m Henrietta Gregory”. And then she was gone.
From out of the blue and back into it again in under a second.
I now have the great task of trying to find out who she is.
And now you know her name as well. The next time she appears on this blog, you will know more about her… as will I.
If she lets me know, that is.
See… I told you it was an odd post, this one…
