One Minute Ramble: Reach for the skies!

  • A journey can take many different paths from its beginning to its destination, as can an idea from conception to realisation.
  • A dream may start in one place, and end in a completely different one.
  • There is more than one way to get from point A to point B.

Those three statements came to me when I first saw this tree. I imagined the trunk representing the foundation of an idea or a dream, and all of the branches and twigs to be the various ways of reaching the realisation / destination. No way was the wrong way, but they all ventured outwards and upwards in their own way.

Eventually, whichever route is taken, the destination will be reached.

It doesn’t matter how long the journey takes, how thin the branch may get, the destination is right there at the end, just waiting to be reached.

The destination is the goal. The realisation. The manifestation of the idea.

With so many different avenues being available to go down to bring about our dreams, what is stopping us from actually reaching them? Is it because we give up too soon?

If we have an idea, we should reach for the skies, follow our journey and live our dream… we may find that we get there sooner than we thought…! And if we feel good along the way… even better!

Ah, this one was for me today, Tom, wasn’t it? Perseverance to attain a dream is a skill indeed. I msut work at it.

Love the tree, Sir Aquatom, all those branches, could be pointing the way to a myriad dreams … all within reach, all attainable should we be brave enough, … ’tis a thought worth pursuing methinks… Ideas come and go, but the ones which keep returning, well, maybe they’re trying to tell us something… Reach for the skies as you so rightly say. xPenx

It’s another easy thing to say, Pen, but is it as hard as it seems in practice? I think it’s most definitely worth having a go once in a while!

Some may be slightly more steep or uphill than others as well, but keep going. I think my Lottery road is one of the steep ones…

I’m on that journey right now, Tom. We shall see how it turns out. Right now, I feel like I’m perched on a tree limb, up high, and it’s about to break……..but the outcome could also be that I fly. 🙂

I’m tired tonight so the old brain isn’t sparking well, but I must commend you, Tom. You sprout as many surprising and interesting ideas as that tree has branches in your picture. Carry forth.

Thanks once again, Tess. I always like to try to write something different each time, but this week, I’m a little de-motivated… un-motivated… whichever fits better… so I’m going for the One Minute Rambles with a positive slant. The positivity is working, but the motivation is still falling somewhat behind. It’s only temporary, though… I must admit I like the idea of there being more than one way to achieve our dreams though – it makes it seem a little easier!

Loved this post! For me I feel that there is a sense of unworthiness that makes me sabotage myself. It’s something that I need to be more aware about and to come through 🙂
