There’s a nursery rhyme that begins:
January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow.
It was warmer in January than it is now. I’m sure of it.
The rhyme continues:

February brings the rain,
Thaws the frozen lake again.
We have plenty of rain, so that could be true of any month.
But look:
March brings breezes sharp and shrill,
Shakes the dancing daffodil.
I’m used to the March winds… strong, gale force gusts that whip up out of nowhere. This March, however, they’re coming from the east, so they’re sharper and shriller than ever. Cutting in fact. Rather cold for the time of year.
April brings the primrose sweet,
Scatters daisies at our feet.
It’s April next week. Let’s see, shall we?
Spring MUST arrive soon…!

Here’s Hoping, anyway!
HAPPY SPRING!
