The Superhero Diaries 2.4: Going nowhere fast

Technical hitches, it would seem, affect superheroes too. Here’s a transcript of the Satellite Navigation device in the Elite Force of Britain’s Four-Wheel Drive, used whilst the team were supposedly investigating the sudden appearance of a small island named Middlehaven, just off the coast of southern England somewhere:

Middlehaven, and its mysterious appearance, will be further explored in future Superhero Diaries posts. If we ever get there, that is. The EFB are baffled as to the causes of the failure of their satellite navigation system, which was brand new, and a gift from a mysterious benefactor. Their investigations continue.

Ha! Mysterious benefactor is not always good news 😛
Love the fact that “Seamless” is part of the system’s name…hehehehe

Especially not with these superheroes, Shree. They are quite a trusting bunch, though, and love to receive freebies.
There’s more to that ‘Seamless’ that meets the eye as well… but already I’ve said too much…

Gremlins,… was my first thought, Sir Aquatom, then Glitch int’ system…erm… can’t think of any more ‘G”s … There’s a ghost drive?… The ‘G’ force caused a massive ‘G’ string effect to stretch and snap…causing massive strain to the Seamless part of the Amce and Seamless system… 😉 … Mayhap just a plain and ordinary fuse gave up, I have some here, 13amp do? … xPenx

I’d say Gremlins is closer, Pen.
Amce and Seamless Systems have advised their systems are working perfectly, which makes you wonder…

I’m always wondering, Sir Aquatom, … that’s the problem… so, this packet of replacement fuses? I can keep and lose in my lower kitchen drawer then?.,.. 🙂

You can… but remember to always be aware when using the lower kitchen drawer…

It’s a funny word, euphemism. Not too easy to type either…

Sounds like the heroes have been conned! 🙂

At least it didn’t direct them into the river… 🙂

    God Bless!

It certainly looks that way, Prenin! I’m wondering where the first road on the left would have taken them…
