The Day Before Tomorrow

Ulp.

I’ve seen this before.

At the weekend, actually. I watched part of the movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’. I didn’t have time to see the whole movie, so just watched up until the weird weather conditions started to happen. Then I had to leave it. Drag myself away.

That was the day before today.

Yesterday.

And now, today, the day before tomorrow, I’m seeing those weird weather conditions again. In real life.

Rain was pounding against the Mansion window when I walked into the living room… it wasn’t doing that seconds before when I was in the room next to it. I looked out and saw – well, to say I saw it blowing a gale would be an understatement.

Even through the darkness, I could see the swirling winds all around The Grinds. Trees were bent double. A rumble reverberated from above as the winds blew overhead with all their force.

And then… then, the weather changed. Balls of ice started lashing down. Hailstone – hundreds of thousands of them – caused everywhere to turn white in three seconds flat.

As soon as the hail eased, the skies were lit up by flash lightning, followed a second later by the familiar rumble of thunder… a totally different sound to the wind mere seconds earlier.

Another flash of lightning, and another rumble of thunder brought an end to this marvellous spectacle of nature’s fury.

It’s all quiet out there now once again – but I have moved once more into the room next door.

It seems the changeable weather is still with us.

      Phew. Thanks, Shree.
We’ve had snow today. Then rain. Strong winds. But nothing like last night!

My Goodness….Sounds like the weather around the mansion has the same capabilities as the mansion itself to change as desired. Perhaps you are living in a snow globe and don’t even realize it. Just remember T, we are manifesting very quickly these days so watch your thoughts! Think warmth and sun…. VK

Very true, VK. I’m trying to bring on Spring… but it seems Winter is having other ideas!

    Hi Tom! 🙂

Yeah we had hail and high winds when I went to bed at 12pm and now we have hail, snow, sleet and a world of white (for now!) so I’m glad I’m staying home today! 🙂

God Bless my friend and stay warm!!! 🙂

It was a wild one last night, Prenin. Not as wild today, but the snow’s still hanging in there!

The weather has gone totally berserk around here this winter. Snow clipper every couple of days to the last several weeks with wind and rain in between.
Have a great week, Tom! 🙂

Thanks, Deb – you have a good week as well – I hope your weather becomes more settled.

That’s some wild and wacky weather. We saw a video clip of SEA FOAM in Australia that looked like piles of thigh deep snow. Just massive quantities of the stuff rolling in from the sea. Spooky. 😯

Nancy, there’s definitely something weird going on, weather-wise…

With all that wicked weather out by you, the place I’d most want to move is under the covers until it calms down. Yes, Tom, even I have a weasel side.

Being under the covers is the best place when there’s a ferocious storm raging outside, LA! However, I also enjoy sitting outside (under cover!) in a thunder storm!

Very freaky for you folks over the pond. We frequently get that type of weather in Calgary in the spring and fall, but it doesn’t seem very neighbourly to export it to you – sorry about that.

The combination that makes me sit up and take notice is snow with thunder and lightning – it doesn’t happen often, but it always feels apocalyptic when it does. Hope your weather begins to behave soon. 🙂

I’ve experienced lightning with heavy snow once, Diane, but only the once. Last night was close, but it was hail not snow. Still freaky weather though! It’s only fair we get it from time to time, I suppose!

Oh, too spooky. I do not like stormy weather therefore I am glad you are THERE and I am here. Still, it IS true weather patterns have changed and seem nastier, more often than years ago.

      They are getting wilder, Tess.
I actually enjoy a good storm, as long as it’s balanced with nice weather shortly afterwards!

I do enjoy dramatic weather, Tom. One of my favorite things is sitting outside on a porch in the mountains and watching a storm roll across a valley.

It was indeed a wild night…and about what I’d expect around the Mansion! I think your bathroom affected mine…you know the mansion magic…espec on a stormy night…someone spent over 4hrs in our bathroom late last night allowing no-one else access….result, besides some very angry housemates, was Wolfie in her night gear in the early hours outside in the rain and wind and darkness trying to move the wheel barrows across the moat (yes we have one currently full of water) from their postion blocking the outside bathroom door!! Then I had to manouvere them both back to stop the wild weather blowing the door open again and ripping it off it’s hinges lol 😉 So! I kinda moved to the room next door just like you! lol 😉 Well…maybe! Nevermind it’s nearly Spring! 😉

More snow is due, apparently, and then hopefully that is that.
Sorry the Mansion is causing ripples for you, by the way…
