No! My party isn’t today, it’s on the TWENTY FIRST of December! But that’s OK… it’s an easy mistake to make. After all, I am throwing an ‘End of the World’ party together with a few other party themes, all on the 21st*, and some folk are saying that certain things are ‘happening’ on December 12th as well.
They may be, but not here!
It’s a normal day around these parts.
A normal day with a difference, that is!
Well, it is 12/12/12, and that’s not going to happen for a while. Or ever again, if you listen to certain people. Hehehe, I jest! No. Some people are saying that the world may end today as well as on the 21st. I’m saying it won’t.
I’m saying the opposite.
I’m saying instead of looking for doom and gloom, look for anything out of the ordinary that is good. Ignore depressing news stories, or bleak weather forecasts.
Look for unusual things that make you stop and think: ‘I could have missed that if I hadn’t made a deliberate effort to notice it.’
Look for things that will make you smile. Do something that will make others smile.
See if you can spot at least ten things that make the day better… a good deed, a nice gesture, a surprise, a reason for a celebration, something funny, a miracle… to name a few.
If you can’t see any, why not ‘do’ some yourself? Miracles are pretty impressive, you know!
But so is making someone feel good.
There’s too much negativity around at present which needs to be tamed. Taken care of. Pruned back!
Allow the positive vibes to push the negativity away. Create goodwill. Create a smile. Create a new beginning for someone who can only see the darkness.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. And, as the saying goes, if you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, march down there and turn it on yourself!
Think of today as a trial run for the twenty-first.
And have fun!
Oh, and don’t forget to call back on the 21st for my blog party, I may have already mentioned that somewhere! Click *HERE for more details!
