The sky was exciting that night.
Reds and golds, and blacks and purples swirled and blended, yet remained completely separate from each other.
The colours cast their reflections and shadows simultaneously across the vast and empty ocean. The destination was far beyond what could be seen of the horizon, but the journey had to be made. This particular night was the best time that could have been chosen, for the storm was coming.
The dramatic sky and calm sea gave clear indication of this. It was a case of now or never.Gentle waves lapped against the side of the ship, as she slowly made her way towards the very place where the sun had set several minutes earlier.
Beyond where the eye could see, but clearly in the mind’s eye, was the land where dreams come true.
The journey to a new life had begun, or perhaps, already ended.

Tom, I have always longed to travel beyond the horizon. It tortures me, that line to the other side.

Yes, I know what you mean, Andra: so near and yet so far, and so out of reach!

Thank you once again, Andro. I have to admit that it looks very similar to the Wolfsong post I reposted the other day, although the reds have been reversed. Still, I like playing with colour!
