When is a horse not a horse? When it’s a horse of the sea, of course. Of course it isn’t a horse of sorts, it’s a sort of fish or so we’re taught. A fish horse thought it ought be called something wrought with water’s thought, so thought the sea a fitting thought, thus the name seahorse was forward brought.
