A Different Landscape

Stars above vanish
As the future changes shape
A new beginning

A quick scribble and jotted words to celebrate the fact that the Brexit saga finally comes to an end. The United Kingdom leaves the European Union at 11pm tonight, 31st January 2020. Although we are still kind of in it until the end of the year, with little say on the matter, todayโ€™s the day we officially go it alone. Again.

Weโ€™re gone. Now itโ€™s time to move forwards and show what a great nation we are. Squabbles permitting.

Hoping it all works out okay – it’s a big step. I like your Union Jack sky! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks, Diane. That sky just developed, I didn’t intend for it to be so Union Jacky.

I’m a little sad to no longer be a citizen of Europe, but living 8000 miles away, I’m not really in a position to judge. Rather consider myself a citizen of the world.

Being a citizen of the world sounds so much better than just being part of a small part of it, Chris.

Thanks Elaine, but that wasn’t always the case! In my original version, the horizon sloped up to the right, and I just couldn’t get it level. So, I cropped the top half, pasted it into PowerPoint, copied this image and dragged it down beneath the first one, so that it was upside down, and then jiggery poked them together. I wasn’t going to let it win!

I thank you. This way, the reflection is an exact copy as well. Hehehe. We must use our cheats every now and again, mustn’t we?

And we’re stuck with a government that still thinks we’re an Empire and spent Billions on aircraft carriers and state-of-the-art aircraft we have yet to pay for!!!

We’re just another small country at the mercy of the Americans…

    Blessed Be!

    Prenin.

Hey ho, Prenin. When we’re fully independent, we shall see just how big of a dot we really are!
