Did I mention that we were living in the age of fishes? Did I? I’m sure I did…
Well, Debbie’s theme for One Word Sunday this week is ‘Fish’; a fact I only discovered after posting yesterday’s post. I love it when things come together.
I have, somewhere, a collection of photos of a small school of fish in The Lake, but I can’t find the bloomin’ things, so as a backup, today I am showing a photo of a Lake Dweller who is very interested in fish… the heron!
So interested in fact, one is firmly grasped in that pointed bill of his!
Visit Debbie’s site for more interpretations of the theme!
Great picture….you should paint it.

Thanks, Beverly. I painted one picture of this heron a short while back – I may revisit it again!

I’d say this will complete the assignment. Lovely image.

Very fishy! Nice one Tom
And you seem to be both with me and ahead of me. Your 6WS yesterday was most definitely fishy, and this week’s fishy OWS is also rather tasty (next week’s topic!)

It isn’t very often I’m on the ball, Debbie, so I’m going with it right now! 😀

Isn’t it just, Prenin? I have all my photos in date order… which is nice and neat, but I can’t remember what I took on what day!!!
And thank you! 😀

He does look like a hungry fellow! We enjoy watching the herons here on the coast, but I don’t know how they ever survive. I’ve never seen one actually catch a fish – they just stand like statues in the surf. Maybe they’re just enjoying the ocean waves and they actually eat elsewhere. 🙂

They are VERY patient, Diane, aren’t they? And, thinking about it, rather slender to boot! 😀
