Summer Dreams

I long for the short hot nights of Summer
Dreamy days with lullaby scents from yesteryear
Rainbows in sprinklers
And zephyrs that caress with a well practiced softness.
I long for the short hot nights of Summer
So I can lay awake wishing it were cooler.
