This Bloomin’ Heat

We interrupt this World Watercolour Month for a breaking moan.

Inspired by swollen ankles.

I’ll take a seat.

It’s the heat.

And my feet.

They’re very sweet.
Walking the streets.

In this heat.

And in the mirror, my reflection I greet.
In this heat. I’m the colour of beet.

That’s not neat.

This bloomin’ heat.

    I agree!!! 🙂

I’m beginning to feel uncomfortable as the thermometer is passing 25’C and still rising.

Good job I got all my chores done while it was cooler! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

When it’s this hot, Prenin, all I want to do is sit or lie back… and then when I do, I feel all the more warmer! No… nice average temperatures for me, please.

I’m with you, really looking forward to fall. It can’t come soon enough!

It’s a shame to wave the Sun off, Laura, but when it’s too hot, it’s too much.

How about hobbling around in it with blisters underfoot and battered heels that make walking impossible while the temperature rises to 31 degrees!

I can imagine, Icewolf. You need to get yourself one of those segway things… the ones with the handle, obviously!

Ooh! I’ve seen people struggling to ride those things…lethal neck breaking death traps I would have said!

I wouldn’t get on one myself. Even being strapped in is no good on one of those things! 😯

Oh yes, the brutal heat. Your words capture the essence of the misery of overbearing heat. We’ve been in the mid 90 for weeks. If it weren’t for the afternoon rains to cool things down it would be impossible to be outside.
    I can’t believe I’ve become addicted to air-conditioning. 😥
