This Bloomin’ Heat

We interrupt this World Watercolour Month for a breaking moan.

Inspired by swollen ankles.

I’ll take a seat.

It’s the heat.

And my feet.

They’re very sweet.
Walking the streets.

In this heat.

And in the mirror, my reflection I greet.
In this heat. I’m the colour of beet.

That’s not neat.

This bloomin’ heat.

  1. I agree!!! 🙂

I’m beginning to feel uncomfortable as the thermometer is passing 25’C and still rising.

Good job I got all my chores done while it was cooler! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

  2. Oh yes, the brutal heat. Your words capture the essence of the misery of overbearing heat. We’ve been in the mid 90 for weeks. If it weren’t for the afternoon rains to cool things down it would be impossible to be outside.
    I can’t believe I’ve become addicted to air-conditioning. 😥
