Left Hanging

I’m feeling a little like Mae West when she was left hanging off the Empire State Building. Well, she wasn’t actually hanging off of the building, he was. The big gorilla monster thingy that had hold of her.

Was it Mae West?

Fay Wray.

I’m feeling like Fay Wray when she was left hanging off the Empire State Building.

“Why don’t you come up and see me sometime,” she’d manage to say, in between screams. Actually, she didn’t. It was “Why don’t you come up sometime, and see me”, and it wasn’t Fay, it was Mae.

Only Mae wasn’t there, only Fay, the gorilla and her screams. One of which could have been “I want to be alone.”

Although she didn’t say that either. She said “I want to be left alone”, and it was Greta Garbo that said that, not Fay or Mae.

They’re all easy mistakes to make.

I get folk mixed up all the time. I always thought Grace Kelly and Gracie Fields were the same person. I always thought Grace Kelly married W C Fields. It’s an easy mistake to make.

So, I’m feeling like somebody hanging off the Empire State Building. Why? I hear you ask.

Oh, no reason.

Well, I’m wondering if this will post and hoping that I won’t be left hanging when I get the dreaded ‘posting failed’ message, so thought I’d try using a few big names and push it through that way.

We’ll see.

Hopefully, this’ll be better than all of the As that I posted and deleted earlier.

Mind you, I wasn’t left hanging then, with the As, so here goes…
