Hanging low in the early evening sky was the Full Moon, bright and glorious and a lot larger than usual, due to this particular Full Moon being a Supermoon. It’s probably moved position now, or we have, so it may be higher and larger… and possibly redder. We’re in for a Total Lunar Eclipse later, where the Moon will turn blood red. The eclipse isn’t due to take place for a few hours yet, and by that time I shall probably be far away in the land of nod. If something does happen to wake me, I’ll have a look out and see if I can spot it, and maybe take a photo or two on my mobile phone.
Here follows some photos I grabbed earlier… they aren’t particularly clear as the Moon was immensely bright and I haven’t got to grips with my new mobile phone’s camera capabilities yet, but they give the idea of the size of the Moon at least.
Enjoy the Moon’s energies over the next few hours: apparently we’re in for a spectacular show!
