The Grandfather Clock begins to chime
Is it? Is it time?
Inaudible whispers through empty rooms echo silently; breathlessly
And if anyone was present to hear the answer, would they?
I’m here. I say, within my mind. I’m here. Is it time?
Nothing.
Or maybe not quite?
Whispers on the wind reveal… How can it be time when you’re out of it?
The Grandfather Clock chimes one last time.
So, the answer’s no, then. If it was time, I’d know.
