Always Restarting

Back in 2007, before I had even contemplated blogging, I had started to keep a little journal. A place just to store my thoughts and ideas, but only for me to see. It was a place for any ideas I came up with, plus thoughts about whatever book I was reading at the time.

I’d completed about fifty pages, at the most, and then put it ‘safely’ away. Lost it is a better way to describe its safekeeping.

I found that journal again tonight, and had a quick look through it.

Back in 2007 I was plotting all sorts of things to improve this and that part of my life. My hair got quite a few mentions, as did the usual ‘others’, money, health, happiness… all areas that are OKish as they are, all things considered, but still could do with a little improvement here and there nevertheless.

On January 6th 2008, I wrote what appears to be a regular daily entry, this one regarding an Angel card reading I’d done, focussing on money, as usual.

The next entry in the journal was made on January 6th 2009, one whole year after the last entry. It would appear that I’d put the journal safely down back then as well. This entry was about coincidences I’ve experienced, and it was a fun reading going over those coincidences – some I’d completely forgotten about, others I’ve mentioned on this blog before. I’ll probably mention them again as well, but not in this post. I’m waffling on far too much at the moment anyway.

On August 30th 2009, I’d written a page or two about an experiment I did to relax myself so completely by focussing on my mind’s eye, or third eye as I’d put in the journal. I’d written that I’d brought my attention to the inside of my forehead area without straining my eyes, and then whilst I was relaxed, I allowed myself to do some rather amazing things. I’d:

  • Danced with the Northern Lights
  • Raced in flight with an eagle
  • Swam in the depths of the oceans
  • Travelled back to the very beginnings of the Earth
  • Lifted an elephant over my head
  • Communicated clearly with animals
  • Saw the Earth from the Moon
  • Harnessed the power of a pyramid
  • Levitated
  • Created a rainbow

Doing all of that must have wiped me out for a few months, and the next entry in the journal was made on December 30th 2009. This was also my last entry in the journal, before I safely put it away until today. This entry was a general stream of consciousness one, where I mentioned that the Full Moon on New Year’s Eve that year was also a Blue Moon, as it was the second Full Moon that month. I also wrote a few hopes and wishes for 2010, one of which was the creation of a book / series / blog.

And I started the blog in May 2010. No point rushing things is what I’d like to think I’d have thought back then, but I was probably trying to build up the courage to get the blog started, which would be the real reason for the delay.

Back then, the blog was Me! Me! Me me me!, but I found it to be a little restricting for what I could write about on-line, and also thought it a little off-putting as it would appear to be only about me, which it most certainly wasn’t. I changed the name to Within the Sphere, which allowed more scope for me to be able to cram different things into the blog, sometimes from the random thought processes of my mind, and other times from things that inspired me to write.

I’ve decided that Within the Sphere is now also restricting, so I’ve had to come up with a newer name for the blog that will allow for greater scope to what I can write about.

So we’re now going Beyond the Sphere (…and then some!)

Yes, I’m always restarting.

Restarting Feels Good. And I do enjoy to Feel Good!

I like your new name. Yes, you’re evolving. Levitating and flying with eagles. That may have taken some extra energy and know how. 🙂 Happy New Year, Tom! To new beginnings.

Thanks, Amy. I like it too… but that doesn’t mean it won’t change again in a few weeks.
Happy New Year to you too.

When I was a kid, growing up in San Francisco, Tom, there were many Chinese restaurants called Yet Wah. When another Yet Wah opened, Herb Caen, a famous San Francisco columnist, referred to it as “Yet Another Wah”. Now that you’ve previously named your blog, Within the Sphere, and you’re currently calling it, Beyond the Sphere, I suggest that in its next incarnation, whether it be your next post or next year, you consider calling it Yet Another Sphere.

Good to see you Going Beyond! Tom.. and then some.. And isn’t it fascinating reading back through old journals.. I often smile at the things that got wrote in mine.. Often times it would be just a plain ruled book and very often I would forget to write the date down.. and then ponder when I wrote it?… And yes meditation especially as you describe allows us to do most anything we want.. I never did think of holding an elephant over my head though.. But have flown with a few eagles over some snowy mountains often. 🙂

My computer likes restarts too! The problem is what happens to it when it does!! Since this is usually linked to updates anything can happen 😉 Usually not what’s supposed to so far as I can see 😀

So we’re heading out Beyond the Sphere this year are we? How exciting! I think I need to howl!
