An amazing, remarkable dream. One of those that left me with a Feel Good feeling all day long. I was buzzing inside, but in a comfortable way. I felt warm. Connected. Whole.
In my dream (which, in the way of most good dreams, most of it has gone from my memory) somebody spoke to me.
Before I say what they said, and I can remember that clearly, I shall tell you what I was doing. I can remember that clearly as well!
I was out jogging.
Me! Jogging! I can’t even step up a step without needing to lie down in a darkened room to regain my breath, but there I was, bold as brass and twice as large jogging along one of the main roads in town. And, I was doing it very well indeed!
It was along this road that a stranger approached. A rather good looking stranger too, I must add. And they looked at me and said: “Do you know, that you are the only person stopping yourself from doing whatever it is you really want to do.” They smiled and went on: “Of course you do. You stop yourself all the time.”
With that the stranger had vanished, although where, when and how I have no recollection.
But they got me thinking.
I do stop myself all the time.
I do it. No-one else.
And with that thought, the floodgates opened. Let yourself go a little (or a lot!), instead of dwelling or procrastinating or putting things off, jump right in! Take the plunge! Go for gold! Instead of saying “I can’t” and then struggle trying to find a good enough reason as to why I can’t, just say “I can” and do it.
And I think that’s why I’ve been left feeling on top of the world all day today. I think I really went for it in my dream. Although what ‘it’ was, I haven’t the slightest clue.
If a dream I can’t remember leaves me feeling this good, I have a really great inkling as to how I would feel should I allow myself to ‘go for it’ for real.
Living the dream has never before appeared more tempting!
