Downtime

With a knock of a hammer, a clanking of cogs, a whir of a drill, a connecting of wires, a click of a button, a glow from a screen, a hum from a computer, a tap of a key (or two), a display of an image, and an assortment of words, this post appears to you today.

However, not so if things happen out of order.

And things around here appear to be out of order. Today.

Every now and then.

The page can’t be displayed.

Was the whir before the clank? Did the wires touch the hammer? Were keys pressed in the wrong order?

Maybe it’s the heat.

It’s the heat.

If you can read this, then yay! If not, then… erm… ah.

I’ve just found a slight flaw in my plan to write a blog post announcing the fact that there appears to be a problem with my blog today. Hopefully, it’s only a temporary glitch, things will be sorted soon, and this post will be yesterday’s news.

Or last week’s, considering I’m not posting every day at present.

However, as I keep saying… Normal service will be resumed soon.

Hopefully. If the blog works in sync with my inspiration, that is!

    Knock, knock.
    Who’s there?
    Hammer.
    Hammer who?
Knock, clank, whirl, connect, click, glow, hum, tap, tap, tap.

    I said, Hammer who?
Knock, clank, whirl, connect, click, glow, hum, tap, tap, tap.

    I said, HAMMER WHO? . . .
Knock, clank, whirl, connect, click, glow, hum, tap, tap, tap.

Oh, never mind. I’ll be back tomorrow.

As do I Shree… I try and try and try, and then give up!
Not today though. I’m managing to get some things done before losing connection, so hopefully things are getting back to how they were before…

Your post looks fine, Tom, but on the topic of heat, we’re in the middle of a scorching heat wave here in the Big Apple. I no longer have the energy for my regularly scheduled fantasies. I’m fantasizing about fall.

LA, I think the whole world is experiencing this heatwave at the moment. It is a tad warm!
I’m learning that others are experiencing problems with blogs as well now, so it isn’t only me…

Today’s post here looks fine, but I have noticed all over the blogosphere pages cannot be found. Hmm. What is going on? Is WP overheated?

Something’s happening Tess, we can blame the heat, I suppose. Just read about a huge botnet attack though. Eek. Sounds technical.

    Hi Tom! 🙂

I have been unable to access Jen’s page, but everything else is working OK! 🙂

    I’m hoping it’s just a minor glitch! 🙂

    God Bless!

    Prenin.

It probably is a minor glitch, Prenin, all things considered… but it’s a bit on the major side for me frustration wise!
I’ve noticed from your posts that you’re having problems lately as well…

        Oooh Yes! 😦

This is the first time I’ve logged onto somebody else’s page without getting the Error Loading Page warning!

Let’s hope it is permanent!!! 🙂

God Bless my friend and keep cool!!! 🙂

It doesn’t appear so, Prenin… at least not from my side anyway. Hope you are working perfectly again, and things are working through the whole network. There must be a lot of links, I suppose…

Hope you find your cool spot, Lady P, but not in that hole… sounds like something to do with Walpole, that one!
But sigh though… first you had your ‘spam’ problem, and now this. Will things work correctly ever again???

Considering everything else going on in this insane world I am surprised there aren’t more glitches! Glad they were minor and you got things posted. Enjoy the sunshine I hear you are getting. Have a great weekend ahead…VK

Looks good to me, Tom! (And can you define “normal” for me, please? It’s outside my realm of experience.) 🙂

Normal? Did I say normal, Diane? Where did I get that word from… I have a tendency to make them up from time to time, so I could have done that – or it may have been a word from my dim and distant past. You never know…
Hope you keep seeing things without errors Diane!
