The Corridor

The door was large and ornate, and it opened, automatically, as I approached it. The floor inside was black and white marble, and very cool to the touch.

Along the corridor, on each side as I walked, were various statues. Strange things, including animals, vintage cars, shields, and clocks. There were lots of clocks, and clockwork gadgetry.

At the end of the corridor, I arrived at another door. Another large, wooden door this time, with two statues of Roman men, apparently standing guard.

This door opened automatically as well, and inside this tiny room was a lectern.

And a book.

I’ve always said T, this is where your true talent is! Being able to pull people in and want to keep reading! Don’t drop us here! I remember one story I was getting into at the customs check point and the people trying to get through. We never heard again what happened 😦 Keep going T. Please !!! Thanks!!! VK

Thanks for the encouragement, VK. I’m not entirely sure you’ll like where I’m planning to go with this, and I may actually change my mind about it before we get to where I’m planning… but I shall keep going for now. Whichever way we go, though, I’ll try to ensure we reach a conclusion. Sorry to sound vague, but I don’t want to give anything away right now…

Seriously though, doors are a wonderful plot device. Great work so far, Tom.

Arggghhhhhh! No Aquatom! No! No! No! You cannot do this to us! Leave us hanging like that!! Not fair! Not fair at all! Get writing again quickly 😀 You can’t leave it on such a note of intrigue and I love the kind of read this is…right up my Wolfie street 🙂 This is like waking up from a really good dream that looks set to be a very cool and intriguing one and then you wake up and there’s no chance of going back into it to see where it all leads to!!
