The Face in the Crystal Ball

I have an amethyst pyramid which I keep beside my computer. And beside the pyramid, I have a snowflake obsidian crystal ball. Both crystals stand out against all the technology and papers and other clutter that is around, but are always comforting. A natural energy to balance out the static electricity and artificial light from the monitor.

I like to hold the crystals from time to time, I like to feel the coolness of them, and the sharp, straight edges of the pyramid and the never ending edge of the crystal ball.

The crystal ball looked different from how I remembered it last. The white spots seem to be slightly greyer than I remember, and they appear to be more in clusters rather than all over the surface of the sphere. However, the white spots (snowflakes) are actually grey in colour.

Black bands swirl around, one in fact completely goes full circle, around what I class as the top of the crystal ball. Obviously, it’s round so it has no top or bottom. And these swirls put me in mind of the markings on the planet Jupiter.

The thing is, behind the white markings, there was something else. Something I’d never seen before. A face? Well, head and shoulders definitely. I thought at first that it was a reflection of my face, but as I moved, the face didn’t, and stayed where it was. In fact, I moved away, and could still make out the outline of the head and shoulders.

Looking at the crystal ball now, all I can see is the reflection of the room – the figure that was peering out at me has gone.

Very strange.

In a good way, I hasten to add!

Snowflake obsidian balances the mind, body and spirit, and can be used for divination, grounding, protection, and scrying, among other things.

My snowflake obsidian crystal ball is photographed above, with my amethyst pyramid, and a little angel statue that I also keep by my computer. They are extremely close to the camera as well… they aren’t really that size!

Tom, I used to have a magic 8 ball next to my computer in my office. It looked very much like your crystal ball, though I never saw faces in it. Fascinating.

I had one of those magic 8 balls once, Andra… I still have it somewhere… although it was a lot larger than the crystal ball. No faces have appeared tonight, though…

Tom, I have my phone next to my computer, but other than that I try to keep my writing space cleared off. I’m quite content to not have any heads or shoulders looking back at me.

Normally, LA, I don’t have anybody looking at me when I’m tapping away at the keyboard. That was the first time I’d noticed it!

I’ve just finished the YA book ‘Itch’- where a rock changes and turns out to be a whole new element. You never know what you’ve got there 🙂

There are still a lot of mysterious things in this world, Fiona. My crystal ball may be a new one!

Oh what a pretty Snowflake obsidian!!! And the angel statue too!
You know Tom, crystals have their own energy AND knowing some of the things that you have experienced..you might want to just have a chat with them…see what they say and stuff..maybe the figure you saw is a representation of the energy in the crystal ball? 🙂

      I like them, Shree!
I think the next time I see a figure, I will ask… maybe my noticing them scared them away yesterday…

Wow T ! I’ve never seen a snow flake obsidian before. Really quite beautiful. Crystals are great to keep by the computer. And the angel looks to be really endearing as well. What is she made of ? Thanks for sharing them 🙂 Keep track of the face now to see if it returns. Have a good week and stay out of trouble….VK

Snowflake obsidian is a nice stone, VK… and the angel is made of opalite.
I’ll have to wait and see if any further faces appear!

It is quite good, but it looks a lot larger in the photo than it actually is, Prenin!

Behind the crystal a face I haven’t seen …. (or something like that) … Brilliant.

Thanks, Frank – and that quote is right – I didn’t actually see the face – just the silhouette.

Tom love your crystals and should you ever want any infor please feel free to go to my crystal and things page in the header… I have a piece of crystal quartz which holds the image of a wolf inside…. so clear is this image… others too can see it…
I will tell you a story.. when I first got this crystal I didnt see a thing in it.. and I often look as you can at times see things within them.. And then in our trance group we had a regular communicator who over a period of time told us his name… His name was Grey-wolf… the crystal sat within my room designated for trance…. Strange but true .. 🙂

I wonder if I’ll get to know the name of the figure I saw?

I make jewelry from snowflake obsidian. I like that yours is mostly spots. I choose the feathery ones.

      Hi Red!
I have a small snowflake obsidian stone that is more feathery than spots… both have a nice look, I feel.

I have little crystals at my work desk. I wish they would take out the negative vibes, but I think the office is sucking the life out of THEM. I know how they feel…..

    (but I like your crystals 🙂 )

I like your trio of comfort toys. Scarey about the face looking at you. Next time, give a nice greeting and maybe the stranger will come out of hiding. Maybe it’s some kind of genie. How about that?

I’ve more than those three, Tess! Dotted about the place, that is!
I didn’t see the face as scary though, just intriguing… when next I see it, I shall ask! A genie sounds like a great idea!

aha!!… another mystery, Sir Aquatom, … (I’m working backwards again…and for someone as forward thinking (*cough*) as myself that’s a difficult thing to do) (Is a bracket contained within a bracket a reverse bracket? Negative bracket? or double negative bracket?) Sorry, I’m getting backtracked bracket wise… anywho, if it happens again (scary face wise ) keep your eyes peeled and don’t blink for a second… Difficult I know BUT faint heart never won an answer to a riddle… and it could be someone from a different dimension trying to get in touch, and you… lost connection… (A bit like my Wi-Fi)… xPenx

You’ve got me with your bracket mystery, Pen… I always got lost with algebra.
But no, it wasn’t a scary face… it was a silhouette… a shadow, but it appeared friendly. Until it disappeared, that is!
