No, this isn’t a post about the billion or so spam comments I receive daily (mostly which are patiently waiting to be added to my guestbook, but are merely deleted in one foul swoop) (One foul swoop is actually one fell swoop, but I’m in such a mood when I have to delete so many messages in clumps of twenty, foul is a much better word to use). I’ve actually given up on the idea of writing posts for the spam comments I receive… they’ve shot themselves in the foot well and truly. Or they’ve fried their own circuits if they are robots.
And no, this isn’t a health warning post about eating and drinking sensibly. I always like to eat standing on my head anyway. (Actually I don’t, but this isn’t a post about eating sensibly so it fits quite nicely) (In so much that it makes no sense whatsoever).
No, this isn’t a post about either of those two subjects – completely different yet strangely linked.
This is a post about the weather forecast.
More specifically, the pollen count.
Wendy Windways, the local weather presenter loves to read out the weather. She really enjoys giving the news that the pollen count is low, moderate or high. She’s not fussy.
With me, low or below is fine. Anything above low isn’t. And low is a fine line.
With all of the rain we have had recently, I have been able to breathe normally, walk by freshly cut grass (although I don’t understand why some people cut grass in the rain), and enjoy the sunshine that has been breaking through the cloud.
I’ve even enjoyed some days where the sun has been there without rain, presumably because the pollen count was below low.
Today, it’s a different story.
Wendy Windways gleefully announced that the pollen count for my area is moderate, and possibly higher in brighter sunshine.
Wendy Windways warned me that today would hurt.
I’m preparing for a day of itchy eyes, streaming nose, and eternal sneezing… combined with an itchy back where the itch moves as soon as I get anywhere near. I have weird hay fever I do.
All in moderation. (But really all at the same time).
Actually, in my moderation queue there was a spam message for hay fever treatment… it was in the same post for acne treatments, escorts, handbags, cigarettes, vowel rhymes and prescription medicines. Lots and lots of links for all of these things, and not one got used.
Deleted.
Gone forever. Unlikely, but hopefully like my sniffles.
