A new series of monthly card readings.

I tell you what I see, but the main point is what do you see? These cards are unique, different, open to interpretation, and have no hidden meaning.

Apart from what you see in them, that is.

One. The One of White Rabbits.

Time doesn’t seem to be evenly distributed. Is time running out for something? Is there something in your way? Take time to look ahead and notice those blocks may not be as solid as they appear. Happy September!

Two. The Four of Carrots.

Not everything is bound and confined, and sometimes it is beneficial to go outside the lines. Things may seem balanced, but take a closer look.

Three. The One of Mystics.

The one to ponder. Ask a question and wait for your answer to be revealed. Not everything needs to make sense on the first pass.

    Thanks TL….Aren’t carrots supposed to be good for eyesight? 4 carrots maybe make one see 4 times better while going down the rabbit hole into the unknown? Interesting! VK 🙂

    One of White Rabbits: The rabbit symbolizes the first day of a month, especially in the context of this blog! The rabbit can also symbolize new life, new ideas, beginnings, leaps of faith, and venturing into the unknown. In Alice in Wonderland, the White Rabbit refers to a journey down the rabbit hole. And the Manse depicted in this blog has a strong AIW vibe, IMO. Straightforwardly and fittingly, “SEP” would refer to “September,” the month of the card-pull. So this specific month of September is important! The word “NEW” fits with the new / unknown rabbit symbolism. As if the card wanted to make that message clear, this card is about newness, in this month.

    The two clocks seem to represent a transition from one timeline to another. (Or could be from Summer to Fall.) The background (“in the past”) clock is unconventional, in that it may appear normal if given only a glance. But on further inspection, the numbers are too many and confusing. Some numbers are even misplaced, redundant, or nonsense (circling back to the Fool symbolism). In AIW, clocks were distorted as well. The foreground clock (“in the present / future”) seems to be more conventional. A fool must leave behind the foolishness of the past to transform into a potential non-fool in the future.

    A capital “S” and what appears to be a small, vague, capital “D” (below “NEW”). We’ve already firmly established the pivotal month is September, so I’m guessing the S symbolizes something else. “S” can symbolize transformation, because its serpentine shape mimics movement and shifting states. “D” can symbolize a doorway to a new beginning, because its shape mimics the shape of a door. However, remember that this particular D / door is small and vague, for the time being, at least.

    Four of Carrots: Four carrots to feed the foolish rabbit as it starts its journey. A capital “T” can symbolize sacrifice, suspension, and spiritual surrender and / or (the Cross of) Suffering and the physical world. Well, at least the rabbit has the carrots to sustain itself through its precarious fool’s journey… Out of curiosity, I looked up the Four of Carrots in the Rabbit Tarot. It symbolizes the need to be left alone. Perhaps left alone while on a fool’s journey?

    The swirling smoke juxtaposes the fresh carrots. As elements alchemize into different elements, out of the smoke of a fire materializes sustenance in the forms of carrots. Destruction begets fresh fuel.

    One of Mystics: A richly dressed, intricately haloed man presents a crystal ball which may be enclosing a question mark. If this is the case, does the question mark freely rotate to align itself with the viewer? What happens when two people look at the ball from opposite sides? Silly questions, perhaps… The man appears to be an authority on divination, and looks as if he is inviting the viewer to ask a question (or four)… even though I see two instances of the word “ONE,” I see four questions marks if I look carefully. One is in the lower left corner.  The crystal ball and question marks connect back to the rabbit as they all represent “unknowns.”

    Back to the two “ONE”s. There really only needs to be one “ONE” (especially as the One of White Rabbits has zero “ONE”s), so I think they lend themselves to something else. They could’ve been anywhere on the card. But one is above the halo, symbolizing higher cognitive aspirations, and the other is below the crystal ball, symbolizing lower occult practices. One question can be asked two ways, and one answer can be given two ways. Be careful how you ask a question, and be careful how you receive an answer!

    All in all, a very mysterious reading! Aren’t they all? Also, I am not a tarot card reader, I’m just using my imagination…

    Anyway, that was fun; can you tell I enjoy writing?
