A Rhyme to Grapple

What you are seeing is a red pineapple
Bought by the association of employees in the printing office (or chapel)
I did say in the title this is a rhyme to grapple
Whether here, or Hull, or in Whitechapel
This fruit obviously isn't scrapple
Nor would it be useful if one chose to rappel
Although if eaten incorrectly there'd be a problem in the thrapple
And it looks nothing like a red (or green for that matter) apple
It's not an apple of pine which is easy to grapple
And this ends the sad rhyme of a red pineapple

With sincere apologies. The Poet Laureate I am not, but my Inner Poet, the Poette Tomeate has grand ideas… and he also likes the idea of a red pineapple.
