Honouring Lowry

Today, it’s Sarturday.

A day for art, I feel.

So, I headed over to my favourite AI app, and created some works in the style of Laurence Stephen Lowry (L.S. Lowry).

Lowry painted scenes of the industrial north west of England, with a unique style all of his own.

A style that AI couldn’t actually match, as the following five creations show…

I don’t think Lowry painted London, but if he did, I wonder if they’d have looked like this?

Lowry didn’t appear to paint shadows. The above pictures have both shadows and reflections in them!

He painted a signature matchstick man for his figures, and these images don’t convey that, although the fourth image may just pass, if you squint at the figures in the distance!

The last interpretation of a Lancashire town is fun, because of the name of the busy restaurant the AI thingy chose to give. Lancorsie Lowry… full of not-so matchstick figures, but a nice northern scene all the same.
