Misconstrued Reality

Gently grabbing the tiger’s mane, Bubblegum managed to sneak him into her room at the Elixir Spa Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex without being spotted – she only had to worry about The Lady and the Dropped Apostrophe as she’d left all of the others back at the circus ground. The tiger, who she’d named Valentine, wrapped himself around a comfortable spot in the sunlight that streamed in through the window, settled down and was soon snoring. After making a series of anonymous phone calls to various animal welfare organisations about the other animals at the circus, Bubblegum left her room, intent on raiding the kitchen for milk and meat to feed to Valentine, as she was certain he would be hungry. In the corridor outside, after gently locking her door, she literally walked into a flustered The Lady, who merely glared at Bubblegum before shouting “those buffoons!” Noticing Bubblegum’s sheepishly confused expression, The Lady continued, “Moonbeam and Jordan Grainger have allowed that Lady Might woman to escape, she must have somehow overcome them in the basement – I went down there as nobody was in reception when I went to see what fuss Ellova Palava was making now, and found them both dazed, sitting on the floor.”

Hearing the snoring coming from behind Bubblegum’s door, The Lady glared once again, rolled her eyes, looked Bubblegum up and down, and said, “And remember, my dear, this hotel is a front for our organisation – not a hotel…”; getting no response from Bubblegum she tutted and stormed off along the corridor.

It’s time for another Six Sentence Story featuring The Co-ordination of Supervillains.
Six Sentence Stories is a challenge run by Denise at Girlie on the Edge – the button links to her latest post.
The prompt word this week is ‘Wrap’… and hopefully you can wrap your heads around all the goings on with this bunch of characters… if they aren’t at each other’s throats, they’re barking up the wrong tree. But that, in my mind, is what makes writing about them fun. Confusing, but fun. If you need to catch up with what has gone before, visit my Storylines page for all of the other parts.

I think they all need to lengthen their fuses a little, Mimi! It would be so much better if they all worked together as a team. Ah… to dream! 🙂
