Another Co-ordination of Supervillains double-bill!
Relocation
The Dropped Apostrophe folded down his flipchart stand after removing the large pad upon which he’d stuck many photos of other supervillains yet to join his Co-ordination, which he called his Villanuss Wallboard and carried them out of the damaged ballroom of the Elixir Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex, under the watchful eyes of The Lady.
“I’m moving the office to the pool temporarily,” he said as he passed her, choosing to ignore her glare, “until the work in here is done – could you help me to move the desk in a few moments?”
The Lady widened her eyes towards the Apostrophe for asking her to do physical work in her hotel, and surprised herself when she said she would help him, but then reasoned this by telling herself it gave him the impression of still being in charge; “I’ll just take these and be back in a minute,” the Apostrophe said, rushing by before she had chance to change her mind, “wait here.”
On their second trip out of the grand ballroom, The Lady and the Dropped Apostrophe carried a chair each, having already moved the heavy desk on their first trip together, which The Lady found incredibly humorous when she watched the Apostrophe struggle to get it into the empty pool in the spa, but was equally impressed that he had managed to do it. Bubblegum rushed along the corridor outside the ballroom, paying no heed to the furniture they were moving, and loudly said, “Ellova needs help in reception – I don’t think you heard her call in there…”, she pointed into the damaged room.
The Lady pulled her usual scowling expression, caught Bubblegum’s eyes with her own, made sure she watched her look at both her and the Apostrophe’s chairs, look back at Bubblegum and, with a slight tilt of her head, said, “Whatever it is dear, I’m sure you will be enough to help her to deal with it – we’re a little busy at the moment to be dealing with admin stuff.”
Tainted Love
Jordan Grainger rubbed his jaw as he noticed a rhythmic throbbing and a dull ache, realising it was actually from one of his lower back teeth, and remembering his and Moonbeam’s fight last night when they fell through the roof of the grand ballroom in the Elixir Spa Resort Hotel and Leisure Complex he glanced over to his arch-nemesis in the group, who was sat on the opposite side of reception intently gazing back over at him; he smiled and began to chuckle.
Moonbeam looked over at the reception desk where Ellova Palava had just sent a call out for someone to come to reception, and was fiddling with something on the microphone so not looking at either Jordan or himself; looking back to Jordan he mouthed “Are you OK?”
Jordan tapped the left side of his jaw and mouthed back “A bit of toothache which you caused last night, I think.”
“Me…” Moonbeam mouthed exaggeratedly with a surprised expression and touching his chest with his right index finger, “I would never do anything to cause you pain…” he stopped mouthing as he looked at the wall beyond Jordan to think for a moment, then returned his gaze, “although I can’t wait to lovingly feel your throat again” he gestured a strangling motion.
Jordan rolled his eyes, then brought them back to lock with Moonbeam’s and mouthed back “And I can’t wait to tenderly kick you in the stomach,” he moved his right leg in a kicking motion which caught the floor, causing Ellova to look up.
“That’s enough, you two, stop speaking, stop looking at each other, just stop everything you’re doing…”, she stopped speaking as Rust walked into to reception.
Tell you what, these characters make work for themselves! Although that makes writing about them fun! It’s love month, and here at the Mansionic Perspective not everything is as it first seems – especially with this gang of supervillains – although they really must work together at some point to get their jobs done. Previous parts to the ongoing tale featuring the Co-ordination of Supervillains can be found in my Storylines menu.
These are also another two ‘retrospective’ Six Sentence Stories (a blogging challenge hosted by Denise at Girlie on the Edge), where I reuse previous prompt words already used. In Relocation, the prompt word is ‘board’ which was first used here. And in Tainted Love, ‘rhythm’ is the prompt word, and that was used here first.
Love is most definitely in the air! 😂❤️🔥
