the shadows
‘neath the surface

where it helps

feel the ripples through your hair
feel the coolness on your skin
as its cooler everywhere
refreshed
leave the shadows
swim upwards
into sunlight once again
but know that
the coolness
will be with you
to bring to mind
as and when

My pleasure. The air conditioning was broken in the office today, and the room was like a green house, without a lick of a breeze. It was that hot, heat was coming off the desk.
I’m cool again now, VK! Unless it’s just normally warm now, but it feels cool after today’s breathtaking temperatures! 😳

Thanks. We have a hot night in store for us here, apparently, and another hot day tomorrow… then thunderstorms are due Wednesday. Can’t wait! That should cool things a little! 🙂

Fan’s on full blast Tom…. curtains drawn, and still melting.. Shouldn’t complain, a breeze now also picking up outdoors… Sadly a crop fire started in a corn field a few miles away.. everywhere is tinder dry….

It’s awful, Diane! Uncomfortable, sticky, close, dry… and the air conditioning doesn’t work in my place of W. 😵💫 I’ve been working in a greenhouse all day! 😳
That said, I’m in a comfortable cooler spot now, so it’s good.
It’s meant to be hot tonight, and again tomorrow, and then stormy on Wednesday. Bring on the storms!!!
And, thanks, yes, my imagination is helping too! 🙂

Aw, thanks, Staarlz. Tomorrow will be hotter still apparently, but I have my ‘draping pose’ off to a tee now! Hehehe! 🤣
I created the image in a 3D rendering package called Daz Studio… I create a lot of the images for my blog through it.
