Sitting

Melting

Thinking little

The shade is like an oven’s middle

My skin is like a sticky tape

My body merely wants to drape

To lounge

To spread

To stretch some more

To find a cold spot on the floor

Mustn’t moan though, it must be said

I’ll soon be flaking on my bed

It’s just a tad warm at the moment, and I can’t be bothered trudging over to my computer to write a proper post, so I just waffled away with this bit of nonsense through the WordPress App. Apologies, but you’ll have to imagine your own image too. I shall now return to my stretchy flaky draping!

    1. I think the heat’s affecting your emojis as well, Elaine… all I can see in the app is 4 squares and that sweltering face. I’ve still not moved from earlier on… I’m still draping…

  1. I totally relate–it’s toasty here, so I had to do the vacuuming as soon as I woke up, lest I sweat through it in the afternoon 🙂 Do you have some gel cold packs to put in your freezer? I rely on them a lot, plus my industrial fan!

    1. Heat index is a new one on me too, Isadora. It’s like when they say it’s minus two, but with the wind-chill factor it feels like minus fifteen. To me, it’s minus fifteen, and that’s that!
I use minus figures to attempt to cool things down a little! 😎 🙂

  2. “Stretchy flaky draping…” Yup! Sums the current situation up perfectly! Melting works wonderfully too! I am impressed by your determination to keep on blogging despite these conditions, I’m managing one or two lines of editing per night before the laptop 💻 kicks off enough heat to justify…stretching and flaking and not very much else!

    1. You may be impressed by my determination to keep on blogging, Icewolf, but that determination doesn’t seem to be followed through on… at least not as regularly as I would hope. It seems blogging here, for the next few weeks at least, may be a tad more intermittent. My phrase of ‘as and when’ seems to be flashing in neon letters very brightly right now! 🙂
