How serene
Is an evening
Where the light begins to fade
And almost still waters carry ashore
A gentle breeze?
How serene is a clearing sky
Viewed from a cave
From solitude
With Nature’s echo carried ashore
By the gentle breeze?
And how serene
Is seeing the first star of twilight
High in the clearing sky
At days end
Surrounded by the peace
Of this moment in time?
How serene is the serenity of the mind’s eye when it sees what it wants to see?
Another beautifully calming piece, Tom.

Ah yes, but as you know, I do like a bit of ‘nonsense’, Tom!

And how serene is the view of an alien ocean from the shores of another world! And the calm mysteries of jutting alien artifacts long abandoned in the sands of time 🙃

If only the memory of those serene moments remained with us instead of the turbulent ones.

Point well made, Ladysighs… the balance should really be tipped more toward these memories, don’t you think? 🙂

All those moments are the very things we have been taught to ignore in favor of technology and it’s slavery it brings. Nature has all the answers for us if we just take the time to interact with it. Serenity awaits us all if we open our eyes! Good one TL….VK
